his single bass string really gets you there - between the full bodied bass sound and yet roaring that crisp and tight sound, I like in jazz fusion. I usually like the B-string to have a heaviness between .125 - .130, but recently I tried the D'Addario XLB120 and I was pleased with the sound. However, you need to adjust your nut on the bass to make it lay tightly over the nut when playing. Try it out if you seek a lighter and tighter B-string sound. It is quite durable too
