Historical set indeed

This set is made to imitate an older world sound, where silk was used for the core of the basses and gut for the trebles, but with modern materials and innovations made by Aquila. I have tried real silk and gut sets and I have to admit this Ambra 900 set is the closest to that I have ever encountered. The Rayon Aquila basses employed in this set come very close to silk core basses but are even better at intonation and longevity. The trebles are a rectified version of a special treated nylgut from Aquila, getting very close to the unvarnished gut feeling and sound. Even the colour of the trebles looks like the gut trebles. If played softly, as you would anyway play on gut strings, these strings are the best alternative to get this kind of sound.
